XILA // This kitchen is is recognized among the masterpieces of Italian design. It
has been manufactured since 1972 and it was the first kitchen available with no
handle. The door opening is located on the base and suspended units, its shaped aluminum
profile easily allows the hand to fit and open the door. The old model was revised and the handles
on the intermediate drawers and tall refrigerator units were removed through the addition of new
aluminum extruded profiles available in three finishes.
The tops are available in Corian®, marble,
granite, stones, stainless steel, wood and laminate.
In 2012 new materials for this kitchen were added to allow for a more refined image. The worktops, doors and side panels are now available in frosted painted glass. In 2013 a 3 mm aluminum sheet (steel or dark) finish was added.
